SUNDAK BEACH GUNUNG KIDUL YOGYAKARTA

Sundak is a natural tourist attraction in the form of beaches in the area Wonosari. This beach is located approximately 3 km from the beach Kukup. Although Sundak not too big, but this beach serves natural beauty of nature and fun. Size is not too big lead Sundak not visited by many visitors so that its beauty can be enjoyed to the maximum.Sundak has white sand beaches and beautiful mossy rocks. You can spend the time to enjoy the beauty of this Gubug Sundak little has been provided by the local people on the coast. The hut is rented out to visitors, but no charges were set because visitors can pay.
       Based on historical circulating in the community, Sundak name comes from the story of a dog fight  and porcupine. The battle was won by the dog eventually made the beach in the call with Sundak. The direction is towards the east around 3 Kilometers and you can enjoy the beauty of Sundak.Not only has beautiful natural scenery and fun to be enjoyed, the beach is also a story that is unique about the origins of his name. Sundak name itself originated from a myth that is well known at the time. Narrated, one day there was a dog that was running around in the area around the beach and then into the rock cave. Inside the cave, the dog was met by a sea urchin. Then, starvation, the dog was intending to eat the sea urchins. However, the sea urchin tried to defend themselves and escape from the dog attack. There followed a fierce fight that ultimately won by the dog managed to eat half of the body of sea urchins. The dog owners are not aware that there had been a fight between his dog with sea urchins. The owner only saw half a sea urchin's body in the mouth of the dog. Slowly, the story continues to circulate by word of mouth so the beach becomes a fight was named Sundak. The name "Sundak" itself is a name, an acronym of Asu (dog) and a porcupine.Fights between dogs and the sea urchin was also a blessing for the local population. After a long period of drought due to lack of water, they finally found the fountain in the cave. These springs can be found for the dog owner was surprised when he saw the dog out of the cave with his dripping body. Out of curiosity, the owner of the dog went inside and investigate the rock cave where the dog out. Apparently, there is a spring inside the cave. Finally, by the locals, a spring inside the cave is processed and used for daily needs. In fact, it's been installed a special pipeline that can connect the spring to the township residents.
