THE EXOTIC OF THE BEAUTIFULL KARIMUNJAWA

Karimun islands in the Java Sea is included in Jepara, Central Java. With a land area of 1,500 hectares and waters ± ± 110,000 hectares, Karimunjawa is now being developed into a tourist charm Marine Park that began much-loved local and foreign tourists.

Based on the legend that circulated in the islands, the island of Karimun found by Sunan Muria. The legend tells of Sunan Muria concerned for delinquency son, Amir Hasan. With the purpose of educating, Sunan Muria then ordered his son to go to an island that seems "kremun-kremun" (fuzzy) on the summit of Mount Moriah so that the child can deepen and develop the science of religion. Because it looked "kremun-kremun" then dinamakanlah the island of Karimun Island.Since March 15, 2001, Karimunjawa Jepara defined by the government as a National Park. Publications are home to coral reefs, mangroves, coastal forests, and nearly 400 species of marine fauna, including 242 species of ornamental fish. Berhabitat some rare fauna here are white-bellied sea eagle, hawksbill and green turtles. Plants that characterizes Karimunjawa National Park is Dewadaru (Crystocalyx macrophyla) contained in lowland rain forest. Waves in Karimunjawa is low and tame, bordered by beaches that are mostly fine white sand beach.
The most commonly used for transportation to Karimunjawa is ship from Semarang and Jepara. From the Port of Tanjung Emas, ship Kartini I (speedboats) leave every Saturday at 9 am to Publications and back from Karimunjawa every Sunday afternoon, 2-3 hours long crossing.

From Port Beach Kartini, Jepara there Muria ship which departs every two days, crossing the old economic ship is +/- 6 hour cruise. Noteworthy to schedule a ship into port Jepara usually depart on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday at 9 am and from karimunjawa toward Jepara Wednesday, Friday, Sunday at 8 am. This schedule may change according to the weather or waves in the Java Sea. in case of high waves then the nexus at the port will not give permission cruise and ship departure schedule will change with the change of weather. Jepara port can also carry cars and motorcycles for ferried to Karimun. Air can be taken from Ahmad Yani Airport, Semarang to airport Dewa Daru Island kemujan with leased aircraft CASA 212 provided by PT. Sea travel Nusa Permai (Kura-Kura Resort). It takes about 30 minutes.
